SMS Notification Service Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. These Terms and Conditions apply only to the SMS Notification service. In this agreement "we", "us", "our" mean EXCARD Corporation Sdn Bhd, "you" and "your" mean the member who is subscribing to this service, "this service" and "this text messaging service" mean the SMS Notification service. SMS Notification service is exclusively an optional service for Malaysia EXCARD Members.

1) Registration Of Your Hand Phone and Fees

1.1 When you subscribe for the SMS Notification service you are required to pay a service fee in advance according to your type of plan and package. This subscription will be deducted from your cash advance in your Online Member Account upon registration. All registrations are subject to our approval. You will also be asked to nominate a hand phone number so that you can receive your text messages. Each hand phone number that you nominate for this service is considered 1 registration and each registration is subject to subscription according to the individual type of plan and package that you chose. There will also be a service fee to change the number of your nominated hand phone before your subscription for this service expires.

1.2 This text messaging service is only to receive EXCARD notifications available under its various plans. We can only provide this text messaging service to a hand phone registered on a Malaysia network (010, 011, 012, 013, 014, 016, 017, 018, 019) and not to a fixed line telephone, a computer capable of receiving text messages or a 'virtual' hand phone. Some older hand phones may not be compatible with this service (the nominated hand phone must be a digital hand phone, if you're unsure contact your service provider).

2) SMS Notification Service

2.1 We may have to interrupt this service, for example, to carry out maintenance or in circumstances beyond our reasonable control, but we'll try to keep such interruptions to a minimum.

2.2 We may send to you, by post or email, from time to time, information about the SMS Notification service explaining how this service works and any steps that you need to take in relation to the service.

2.3 Text messages from EXCARD which are sent to your mobile phone will carry the ID Number 63001.

3) Your Security Obligations

The confidentiality of your passwords, activation codes or any privy information pertaining to the usage of this service is completely your responsibility. In the event your hand phone is lost or stolen, or if you change your hand phone number, you should immediately change the hand phone number you had nominated to receive SMS Notification notifications to a new one. If you don't do this, we'll continue to send text messages to your old nominated hand phone number. We will not be liable in such circumstances.

4) Liability For Loss

We will not be liable to you in any circumstances for:
- Loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity, loss of profit;
- Any type of special, consequential or indirect loss whatsoever.

5) How Can The Terms Of This Agreement Change?

We may change the terms of this agreement at any time by telling you about the changes via email, hand phone or postings on our website. Changes will normally be caused by market conditions, changes in the cost of providing a service to you, changes in legal or other requirements affecting us, or any other good reason.

6) How Can This Agreement Be Ended?

6.1 You can unsubscribe or let your subscription expire to end this agreement. However, no full refunds or prorated refunds for subscription cancellations will be granted.

6.2 We can decide to withdraw this text messaging service by giving you at least 30 days notice in writing to you. We can decide to withdraw this text messaging service with immediate effect without prior notice to comply with the law, to protect security or to combat fraud.
